BOOST COGNITIVE & MOTORIC SKILLS BY REACTING TO SIGNS & COLORS!
In the sports world, reaction time is known to be a vital aspect of an athlete's ability as it separates amateur from the elite. Reaction time is defined as the amount of time taken to respond to a stimulus. The stimulus is something that evokes a specific functional reaction in an body muscle - the slower the recognition in the brain is, the slower the reaction will be. Therefore, it is crucial in most sports, setting the base of any reaction to a punch, ball or a turn out there!
SIMPLE REACTION TIME
In simple reaction time experiments, there is only one stimulus and one response. The application of such training/test is mostly found in individual sports (ie. tennis), which is predominantly described by a simple reaction, where unexpected changes in environmental circumstances are minimized at key moments. Some of our training routines such as follow one and back2home are designed as templates for simple reaction time training, showing just one signal on all modules. Choose a sign, color and follow the light - simple as that.
RECOGNITION REACTION TIME
In recognition reaction time experiments, there are two stimuli - the memory set that should be responded to and the distracter set that should be avoided. Consequently, such a reaction is often the case in team sports where the athlete, in a short period of time, makes a decision appropriate to his ability and timeliness of adequate response. Distracter set is an integral part of some of our training routines, such as follow sign, follow color, follow sign and color, etc.
CHOICE REACTION TIME
In choice reaction time experiments, there are multiple stimuli and multiple responses, where the user gives a response that corresponds to the stimulus. This training routine simulates the sports-specific requirements through timeliness and specificity of the appropriate response to the well-being of the whole team, usually in sports like football, soccer or basketball, taking into account teammates, opposing players, as well as the game props. Enhance your brain, focus your mind and get that trophy!
Reaction time is the ultimate need in modern football. Goalkeepers can improve their defense by building up their reactions setting sportreact on the goal frame, midfielders can steady their focus using cognitive drills with signs and colors, while strikers can boost dribbles using sportreact and cones, stands or just a plain device.
Reactions are crucial for intercepting the opponent's ball, foreseeing where the players are moving to, and stealing the ball quickly from the other side. It can boost any reaction to a ball pass, rebound, shot or sound signal, while making training fun and interactive.
In the unpredictable realm of martial arts and combat sports, reaction training could be a question of life or death. Sportreact can help the fighter to determine when the next punch is coming, avoid the kick and knockout the opponent, everything while hitting sportreact as hard as wanted.
At 200+ mph races, reaction time becomes a critical safety parameter. Drivers have to know where and when it’s important to go fast and when to hit the brakes, which requires car control, balance, patience and situational awareness - everything boosted with sportreact.
Great reflexes = even greater reactions on the net! Sportract can help with making serves more precise, returns faster, volleys stronger, bringing more creativity, interactivity and accuraticy in everyday workouts. Game, set, sportreact!
